    What is a Carrier Blackout?

During peak Open Enrollment prep, carrier onboarding teams freeze new agent appointments and contract transfers to focus on processing consumer applications and renewal maintenance.

    New vs. Transfer Restrictions

Some carriers only freeze hierarchy transfers (switching uplines) while still allowing completely new agent appointments. Others halt both completely until the new year.

    Missing a Carrier?

Carriers not listed here either have not yet announced blackout guidelines for this season or accept appointments on a continuous, unrestricted schedule.

Need to get contracted before dates lock down?

Submit your contracting requests early to beat carrier processing cutoffs and guarantee you're ready to write business on day one.
